Oooh this brought a tear. Thank you for your brave words. Have you read Claire Kilroy? I want to but am nervous it might be tooclose to the bone! Also, excited to read Private Revolutions, it's on my TBR. Have you come across Madeleine Thien, do not say we have nothing? Also, Tiaanamen Square by Lai Wen is out now too.
I have read Claire Kilroy and it is A Lot! I had to wait to read it till I felt a bit calmer but it is excellent, and quite refreshing to see something so honest. Thank you for the recommendations. I haven’t come across those but will definitely take a look. Thank you for reading!
fascinated to hear you'd lost the confidence of raising four sons. I'm sure little D loved staying with you for the night! She's lucky to have such a wonderful grandmother.

I sat up all night in bed watching her monitor. So tense , I could neither sleep nor barely breathe.
All the confidence of bringing up four sons, lost. The preciousness of a granddaughter brings new overwhelming love and anxiety. But what joy
